This year's esss will take place in Leuven/Belgium from August 31st to September 4th 2026! The European Summer School for Scientometrics (esss) offers advanced training in scientometrics, covering key methods, indicators, and major databases. The program combines solid theoretical foundations with hands-on applications in contexts ranging from academic research to science policy and evaluation. It is aimed at researchers, especially PhD candidates and early-career scholars, as well as research managers, librarians, and information professionals interested in science and technology indicators. The esss trains esearchers, especially PhD candidates and early-career researchers, research managers, librarians and information scientists with a professional interest in science and technology indicators and their application. The summer school takes place from 8th to 12th September in Granada. Registration will open Tuesday, 1st of April 2025 at 9:00 CET. There is NO application procedure and that the limited seats will be sold on a „first come, first serve“ basis.
