New blog ‘open-biblio­met­rics’ and initial OPENBIB data release

The KB and the OPENBIB project group are pleased to announce the first release of selected and curated OpenAlex data. This marks a step forward in our efforts to promote the use of open bibliometric data and contribute to the evolving open bibliometric landscape. We have also started to provide full snapshots of OpenAlex data on an ongoing basis, integrated into the same research infrastructure for bibliometric data as Scopus and Web of Science. In addition, we have explored the suitability of open bibliometric data (siehe hier, hier und hier). Open Social Science Citation Index by KB partner GESIS

Our KB partner GESIS has released an Open Social Science Citation Index (OpenSSCI). The dataset comprises reference metadata and citation links derived from 63,070 full-text academic documents archived in the SSOAR (Social Science Open Access Repository). The data has been curated within the OUTCITE project for downstream ingestion into OpenCitations. More than 3.1 million citation links are available under CC0.
